Principle Network Engineer

Network Engineer – Fully Remote (UK & Ireland) – ?80,000 / €93,000 + 7% Bonus

We're reopening the search for an experienced Network Engineer to join our team. This is a fully remote position open to candidates based in the UK or Ireland. You'll be working on complex network infrastructure across cloud and on-prem environments, with a focus on high performance, security, and scalability.

Location: Fully remote – UK and Ireland only
Compensation:

• Base Salary: ?80,000 / €93,000

• Annual Bonus: 7%

Key Requirements

Must Have:

• Strong experience with Palo Alto, including Prisma Access or Prisma Cloud

• Expertise in BGP – design, deployment, and troubleshooting

• Experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Solid routing and switching skills

• Knowledge of VXLAN & EVPN (or alternatives like Cisco ACI or VMware NSX)

• Familiarity with IPSEC, DHCP, DNS

• Experience working with Juniper switches and routers (strong Cisco candidates also considered)

• Load balancing experience – HAProxy preferred; F5, A10, or Kemp also acceptable

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to Kentik, Netbox, or Portnox

• Familiarity with scripting and tools such as Git, VS Code, Docker, Terraform

Not Required / Not Preferred:

• Candidates with experience primarily focused on Fortinet or Meraki
